Some sessions start with “do we have to?” and end with belly laughs, silly faces, and absolutely zero concern about the promised ice cream 🍦
Evan and Hailey showed up ready for anything… or at least mildly suspicious about what I had planned. But within minutes, we were all laughing, playing, and completely in the flow of the session. What started as hesitation quickly turned into one of those evenings that feels more like spending time with friends than posing for photos.
From surprise gargoyle poses to full-on tackling mom and dad mid-photo, these two kept everyone on their toes in the best way possible. I think it’s safe to say we all survived family picture day pretty well :)
These are my favorite kinds of family sessions. The ones where kids forget there’s a camera, parents let go of perfection, and everyone just shows up as themselves. That’s where the real magic happens.
We spent the evening chasing light during a beautiful May session in Hudson, New Hampshire. The late spring greenery and soft golden light gave us the perfect backdrop for a session full of movement, connection, and personality.
Family photography doesn’t have to feel stiff or stressful. My goal is always to create a relaxed space where families can just be together , whether that means cuddles, chaos, or a little bit of both.
