August Senior Photos in Hollis, NH
I recently photographed Grace’s senior session in Hollis, New Hampshire in mid August, and this one was especially fun from beginning to end!
When Grace’s mom and I started planning her session, one of the biggest priorities was finding a location with plenty of greenery and wildflowers. We chose a beautiful spot in Hollis, NH that gave us so much variety all in one location. Throughout the session, we were able to photograph in gardens, flower fields, open grassy areas, and among so many different types of plants and colors. I always love when we can create a gallery that feels cohesive while still giving each part of the session its own look.
Grace brought several different outfits, which helped give her final gallery even more variety. For one look, she incorporated her field hockey jersey and stick with a classic all-white outfit, which was such a fun and personal way to document an activity that has been an important part of her high school years.
She also wore a soft pastel floral dress that fit beautifully with the gardens and flowers, along with a bolder red dress that gave us a completely different look and added a fun pop of color to her gallery.
Grace was such a wonderful senior to work with! I know being in front of the camera can feel a little awkward at first, so I gently guided her throughout the session with posing and direction to help everything feel natural and relaxed. By the end, Grace, her mom, and I had shared plenty of laughs and had such a great time together.
One thing we were especially thankful for?
The bug spray that we both remembered to bring! 😂 When you’re photographing in beautiful fields full of greenery and wildflowers, it is definitely a good idea to come prepared.
Senior sessions are all about creating images that reflect who you are at this moment in time. Whether you want to include a sport, hobby, favorite outfit, or location that feels like you, I love helping seniors and their families plan a session that feels personal and unique.
If you’re thinking about booking senior photos, I’d love to work with you! One important thing to keep in mind is your school’s deadline for yearbook photo submissions. My current turnaround time includes more than two weeks to receive your proof gallery for selection, time for you to make your final image choices, and then approximately two weeks from the time your selections are submitted to receive your final edited images.
Because of that, I always recommend planning your senior session well before your school’s yearbook deadline whenever possible. Of course, if you’re in a time crunch, please still reach out! Depending on my availability and the timeline, we can always see what might be possible.
Ready to plan your senior photo session? I’d love to help you find the perfect location and create a session that feels completely you!
